Are You Wanting A Better New Year

We hear people talking about MINDSET all the time, but do we really understand just how powerful our mind really is?  Can it really stop us from moving forward? We have our conscious mind, our sub-conscious mind, and our actions. Let me put this into action for you. Let’s say I want to lose weight. I seriously want to lose weight and I put myself on a diet. The desire is there, the initiative is there, I even put the things into play with my “diet”. This is my conscious mind that I’m talking to. But then I don’t eat correctly. I don’t exercise, I don’t even think about I want to lose weight! Instead, I seem to just deliberately do things that WON’T allow me to lose weight. This is my sabotaging SUB-CONSCIOUS mind that’s talking to me and the actions are based on my sabotaging SUB-CONSCIOUS mind. You see, we can have ALL the right motives, all the right things needed, all the best intentions… in our conscious minds…but if our SUB-CONSCIOUS mind is telling us different…. Our actions will be completely opposite of the Conscious desires. I don’t know about you, but I don’t get a warm fuzzy feeling with I realize that my SUB-CONSCIOUS thoughts will ALWAYS win out over my Conscious…which means my actions will be based on how my sabotaging SUB-CONSCIOUS thoughts are about the situation! Does this mean you may as well “hang it up” because there are things you can think of and times in your personal and business life where this actually happened to you. Absolutely Not!! Don’t throw up your hands and shake our head…there is hope. This is where affirmation statements come into play. Mindset Tip: Your Sub-Conscious mind can be trained to think/act differently. It goes by what it is told!! Here’s an example of 2 negative statements turned into positive statements: Example: Negative: I don’t have enough experience to do this. Positive: I have the experience I need to do this. Example: Negative: People don’t want what I have to offer. Positive: People need my skills and solutions. Now take an index card and write out a maximum of 5 POSITIVE affirmations turning some negative thoughts you say to yourself into positive affirmations and then post them where you can see them and read them over several times a day! Even put them in a note on your phone that you can read throughout the day. Train your sub-conscious to send positive affirmations and watch your sabotaging negatives turn into successful positives! I believe in you! Keep moving forward…the world needs what YOU have to offer!!!
